Yes Virginia, Elevation will indeed have a Sunday night worship service on Christmas, December 25. Will be meeting at CLC at the normal time, 6:00 PM and will have a special service with kids and adults altogether.
New Year's Sunday worship service on January 1st at 6 o'clock at CLC. The service will feature no technology, very little electric light and will be a truly unique evening. It'll take place in the comfy coffee area in the front of the facility. Come kick off the New Year off with us in an unplugged candlelit intimate worship and communion gathering.

The Elevation Youth Life Group is going on a road trip to Magic Mountain and to serve at Harbor Church.

Gentlemen, join Chuckk and company on Monday, October 10 at 8 PM at Bocci's Cellar for the Return of Holy Smoke.
Holy Smoke is primarily an event designed to give us opportunities to invite other men to join us for an evening of dude community. Start praying now about who you might invite to come and experience Elevation guys enjoying fellowship in a neutral setting!
Want to help hungry people have food to eat? You can't get much more basic in showing love to our neighbors than that! Meet up on Saturday, October 1 when we will join Ag Against Hunger to pick veggies or fruit for a few hours that will go into the mouths of hungry folks in our community.
Sign up after Elevation or with Thud. If under 18 you must have parent sign your waiver.
Show up at Cost Plus World Market (Hwy 1 at River Street in Santa Cruz) at 7:30am Saturday, October 1st to carpool to Spreckles.
Bring a hat, gloves, closed toed shoes and a water bottle. Plan to head out to lunch with folks after.

Elevation is having our Annual Fourth of July Celebration!
This is an excellent opportunity to invite friends, neighbors and co-workers! Starting time is 5pm in the Scotts Valley Post Office parking lot. Fireworks begin at 9:30pm.
We will be BBQing hot dogs and pre-ordering Ribs this year as well. Tickets are on sale at Elevation Sunday, June 19th through June 26th for a rib plate. The rib plate includes 4 baby-back ribs for $5 per plate. Sodas are 50¢ each.

Get set for another amazing Elevation opportunity to serve those who Jesus loves. July 18-23 we are taking a group from Elevation to Grace Children's Home, just outside Tijuana.
We will use all our creativity and energy as we love on 40 kids who call Grace home. We will also work on furthering along the new Grace Baby Home. Details, costs, and an information meeting are coming real soon. Make plans now.
A passport is required for all to travel to Mexico and back.

Join Elevation as we go to Ventura in Southern California to bless Harbor Community Church and help with Operation Embrace. We will leave on Friday, April 29th after work, and have a service project Saturday, April 30th during the day, serve dinner, worship and hang out with the church and community Saturday night. Sunday, May 1st we will serve breakfast and enjoy morning worship with Harbor Community Church and then come back to Elevation and worship with our Elevation Crew Sunday Evening.
This is a perfect opportunity to experience a short term missionary project that is not in our backyard and bless the people and members of Harbor Community Church.

Mark your calendar now for our 2011 Mexico Mission Trip. We'll travel to the Grace Children's Home to serve the kids and workers on the bluffs above the beach and across the border!
Great news! After much prayer, interviewing, discussion and much outside input our Search Team understands clearly and unanimously that God has led us to extend an offer to James Griffin as Elevation’s Part-Time Worship Leader. James and Ashley have accepted our call with great excitement. They too feel God's strong and clear call to be part of Elevation. They are truly excited about E; it’s people, praxis and it’s mission.
James and Ashley left North Carolina three months ago with their two children to come to California, completely by faith, seeking where God might lead them to serve. They have been looking for a church like Elevation for a long time. After visiting us they commented at how warm and friendly our body was and how much they and their children enjoyed their time here.
It was wonderful having James here last weekend to lead worship and to spend time with us. Thank you to the large number of you who gave us your personal input during and after last Sunday night’s service. We received a great amount of very positive feedback about James from the body and this really aided in decision-making.
During the first three weeks of the search process we had about 20 people apply and James was and far above all others in alignment with who we are and what we're trying to do here in Santa Cruz. We are looking for more than just a song leader, God called us to search for the person who has the right gifts, skills and talents but also a person that fits five key areas of alignment.
James aligns with Elevation deeply and powerfully; God has shaped James for this church, in this place at this time. As always, God provides for Elevation in amazing and obvious ways!
James will be officially joining our staff December 1st and will assume the role of worship leader, part time (20 hours per week). In addition to leading worship, James will be overseeing ministries connected to the worship services including: creative teams, tech teams, and set-up/tear-down.
Join us in warmly welcoming James, Ashley, Ty and Selah to our family and community. Join us also in thanking God and praising him for an amazing answer to our prayer for a worship leader. Look for ways to bless the Griffins, get to know them and serve them as they relocate and serve Jesus here in Santa Cruz.
