Elevation Kids Ministry

Elevation has an excellent, fun, safe and secure ministry for children every Sunday. Elevation Kids provides nursery care and children's church for all children up to and including fifth grade. Middle schoolers and above can come to the main service at Elevation. We love seeing families worship and grow together.

Because of the high value on families worshipping together all Elevation Kids go into service with their families and are excused after the third worship song to join their teachers and go to class.

Each week at Elevation Kids includes elements such as Bible teaching, games, videos, crafts, and memory verses. Our desire is to help children know and grow in Jesus in a super-fun multi-sensory and participatory way. All children's workers are background screened and supervised; safety is job #1.

The check in is downstairs at the Welcome Center before service and begins at 5:45pm. Parents can pick up their kids after service upstairs in their classroom. Nursery care is also located upstairs and begins at 5:45.

Missions

Elevation is regularly involved in and truly committed to mission both locally and globally. Keep an eye out for local mission opportunities such as gleaning the fields for the poor, the angel tree program (giving gifts to the children of incarcerated men and women), serving the homeless at the local homeless shelter and one in Ventura, and other acts of love in the name of Jesus. Once a year we travel to Mexico to serve the Grace Children's Home ministry in Tijuana with our friends there. It's our vision and our hope to very soon widen the circle with an annual trip off the continent to serve the less reached. Check out the latest missions news.

We at Elevation believe that mission happens best incarnationally, by simply living out the love and life of Jesus to the people that God has placed around us who are as of yet unconvinced about Jesus. Mission happens best when people live their lives with the awareness of the people who don't know Christ around them and the intention of loving them and serving them in his name. We try to make mission a part of all we do in community, worship gatherings, and daily lives.

Do you have a desire to help with audio mixing, computers, visual projection, podcasting, live on-screen presentation, or lighting? Training is available and no experience is necessary, but if you we're on the road with Radiohead call right away!

Video Crew

Community TV has provided a regular airtime for Elevation on television every week!! This is so exciting to know that folks who might not walk in the doors can see what we're up to from the safety of their own living room. If you have a heart for people, are described as friendly and want to help folks feel at home when they walk in the doors the Welcome Crew could be a fit for you.

Environment Crew

Elevation is committed to worship and teaching environments that communicate the message and allow our artists to teach through their creative gifts. This is an era of the visual and we hold a high value for how things look, feel, smell, sound and how the Jesus is experienced at our gatherings. Set up and Tear Down Crews

We rent our meeting space from the generous folks at Christian Life Center. As a result almost everything you see at Elevation needs to be set up on Sunday afternoon and taken down and stored away on Monday afternoon. If you are interested in helping in this area or always wanted to be a roadie for Coldplay or Counting Crows, this is the ministry for you!

Chef Du Jour and Dinner Crew

Every week our pre-service ministry teams share a communal dinner before the service starts up. Do you cook? We're always looking for people who are willing to bring a dinner to serve the teams before the service. Dinner costs are reimbursed to the Chef Du Jour weekly.

Confidential Intercessory Prayer
