We have a real need for someone to take over the leadership of the Monday tear down.

The board and parents of teens say thanks to Brian Guzman and the team who's been overseeing our youth life group. Brian will still be around Elevation, he's not going anywhere, and we will see him turn up in some other ministry role in the future. The group is currently a couple of young women and will be transitioning into a one-on-one mentoring instead of a full youth life group.

Brian will be stepping out of the role of teacher and turning it over to Sam Gray and Kirsten Zimbleman. Brian will still be around Elevation, he's not going anywhere and we will see him turn up in some other ministry role in the future.

Thanks Brian for all the great ministry and we look forward to hearing you speak and lead in other ways at Elevation in the future. Three cheers for Brian Guzman!

New Year's Sunday worship service on January 1st at 6 o'clock at CLC. The service will feature no technology, very little electric light and will be a truly unique evening. In a nutshell were asking Elevation attenders and friends to prayerfully consider sacrificially selling something that they own on eBay or craigslist. We are part of a group of churches who are trying to raise $1 million, which will be matched by the Hilton Corporation with an additional $1million dollars. The goal is to get water to half a million people who currently have no clean drinking water in rural Ethiopia by 2015! On December 18, we'll have a big celebration service, we'll all bring the proceeds and donate it to our clean water for the people of Ethiopia project! World Vision will be on hand to accept the offerings that evening. This is going to be a great project, which will allow us to downsize the abundance that God has given us and without even taking cash from our pockets, invest in the basic life necessity for the poorest of the poor - clean drinking water. You may find it more challenging than writing a check though... it's a great process of self-examination! So the challenge is on, we're asking people to give up something worth $100 or more to practice Kingdom Living, sacrificial generosity, love for the poor by action and grow as disciples of Jesus.
